Early Work
UPSTAGE
Upstage was by all means my first real project as a filmmaker. Coming into my senior year of High School, I was in a very interesting position. I knew I wanted to make something big to put myself out there, but I was so confused as to what. During that time, I had been big into theater and the program at my high school took up a large chunk of my time. I decided I would combine my two passions and make a documentary about the theater program at my high school, which celebrated its 60 year anniversary in 2020.
Originally slated for a May 2020 release date, the world had other plans for my film. In March of 2020, mid way through production, the world stopped, and hence so did production. Throughout the next year, I made many steps to make sure this project got done, and in July of 2021, Upstage premiered at Goshen High School. The project was a fantastic two year process and it showed me that I could handle any challenges that came my way. Upstage was a project that made all other projects seem easy.
Angel's Path
A film by George Pavlidis
Angel's Path was my first film at Ithaca College, and one of my first films with a crew of more than 3. It was a big step up in quality, as I had begun to learn what real pre production entailed during my Cinema Production 1 class. This was also my first ever set in which I was able to use any sort of audio recording device with an ME66 Phantom Power Microphone, LED lights, and a variety of lenses. The DP is Ye Hang Yeo, and the original script is by Ramon King. This set taught me a lot about the beginnings of set etiquette and how to interact and behave on set.
